Great productJun 10, 2007 This lens adapter is required for my Canon G6 to accept the Cannon wide-angle lens. We bought the lens first and didn't have the adapter, but now the kit works great!

Canon Lens Adapter for Canon G6May 15, 2007 First I tried one of the $10 cheapies offered by many on Ebay. It was loose and sloppy, always felt like it was going to fall off. This is a very well constructed adapter, works much better than the non-Canon versions, and is very solid. And, contrary to all the descriptions I have read about it, saying it is 3 inches long, it is actually only 1 7/8 inches long - so quite compact. Expensive, but a far better tool. I highly recommend it over the independant-made adapters.

Canon LADC58D Conversion Lens ReviewNov 10, 2006 The conversion lens works great. The delivery was quick, and painless.

Inexpensive way to add converter lenses or filters to the G6Jan 17, 2005 This adapter provides the 58mm filter screw mount base for expanding PowerShot G6 versatility - tele or wide converters, closeup lens, filters, or power-user tools such as a (circular) polarizer. As noted, the adapter shadows the built-in flash, and blocks part of the viewfinder's field. Pity that the LA-DC58B adapter for the G3 or G5 cameras doesn't also fit the G6.

Works fine but cant use the built-in flashNov 01, 2004 Keep in mind that you can't use this product unless you buy an external flash. The built-in flash results in harsh shadows on the left edge of the photos.
canon's response
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the PowerShot G6.
We are sorry to hear of any issues with the Conversion lens.
When using the built-in flash, a portion of the image may be blocked by the converters and appear dark.
Please refer to page 186 of the camera manual for detailed information.
When the converters are used, it is recommended to not use the built-in flash.
Thank you for choosing Canon.
