filter adapter for the Canon A720Jun 30, 2009
This adapter is one of the reasons I bought the Canon A720 last year. It allows the user to add any 58 mm filter on the end of it. A polarizer comes in very handy when shooting outdoors. It redudces glare and deepens the colors (saving time on photoshop). It also protects the lens. The only downside is that it obstructs the view thru the viewfinder. And you have to use the LCD display to see the effect of the filter (I usually keep the display OFF to save battery) More digital cameras should have fittings to allow the use of filters. All-in-all this add-on is worth the money.

This nifty little gadget will let you use all those great filters you bought when you had your SLR phase. The problem is the A710/720 just isn't a good enough camera to justify the extra bulk and annoyance of using this thing. Also, there's no realistic way to use a circular polarizer, as the LCD on the camera isn't accurate enough.
Still, if you want to use funky diffraction, coloured or even ND filters, this is incredibly easy to use.

Canon has aways been a great product. Their converter allows you to do even more with your digital camara. Buy this first before investing in other lenses for your digital camera. you'll need it! It allows you to switch from one lens to an other. A must have first item!

A no fuss adapter... Easy to attach to my Canon and that's pretty much it. I look forward to using some of the filter lenses that I also purchased.
